During a DiolazeXL laser treatment, a diode laser beam penetrates the skin towards the hair follicles. The hair root becomes heated by the penetrating energy which kills the root and stops future hair growth.

DiolazeXL has a large built-in triple cooling system which allows for a more comfortable procedure. The advanced cooling system makes the procedure virtually painless.  Mild warmth or prickles may be felt during the procedure. 

DiolazeXL requires more than one treatment like all other hair laser procedures. The hair follicles are in different stages of growth at any given time and laser hair removal is most effective during the mature stage.

Hair is reduced with each DiolazeXL treatment and the best results are seen after a series of six treatment sessions. 

The total number of treatment sessions depend on many factors including hair color, hair type, body area, and skin tone.

DiolazeXL treatments are appropriate on most areas of the body that have unwanted hair. The most common treatment areas include: bikini, legs, underarms, chest, back, shoulders, stomach, neck, back of neck,  upper lip, chin and sideburns. This treatment does not work on blond hairs or gray hairs. 

Shave the area to be treated the night before or morning of your treatment.  Avoid plucking or waxing 2-3 weeks prior to your treatment.  

Laser hair removal targets the root of the hair so avoid any method of hair removal which temporarily targets the root. 

Avoid sun exposure 4-6 weeks prior to your treatment. Avoid sunless tanning lotion, tanning bed and spray tan 3-4 weeks prior to your treatment.  Sun exosure and sunless tanning products will make your treatment less effective and increase the risk of post treatment complications such as a burn or hyperpigmentation. 

 A clear gel will be applied to the areas that will be treated.  The client and the laser technician will wear protective eyewear.  The technician will evaluate your skin response to the treatment and determine indivudual settings.
